Long John's 6th Annual Big Meat Run - Sumner Machine Works - Disney, Ok - March 2006

Clayton, Ok - Green Acres, July 2005

As the old TV  show theme song goes, "Green Acres is the place to be..,"  How true, for the hard-core 'wheeler looking for a lot of fun!  There are plenty of extreme trails, and some that are not so extreme.  If you are into big-tired rigs and rockcrawling, this IS the place to be.   Green Acres is close to town, and the $10 per day fee is more than fair.

13th Annual Air CJ Birthday Bash - Hot Springs, AR - April 2005

This year's Bash, the 13th annual, was also Air CJ's 50th Birthday celebration!  Great 'wheeling in the Superlift ORV Park...

WMS Big Meat Run - March 2005

Wagoner Machine Shop's 5th annual  Big Meat Run, held in Poteau, OK, was pretty well summed up by the slogan on the back of the T-shirts... "Wheel Long, Wheel Hard".  "Big Meat" (44" or larger tires) is required, and being "long" (wheelbase - 120" is pretty normal) doesn't hurt either!  We ran Axlebreaker, Grassy Hill, Cable Hill, and Panel Wagon trails on Cavanaugh Hill...  I remember when we used to run those with 33's and 35's... That was a LONG time ago!

 Disney, OK... Labor Day, 2004

Disney, Ok... big rocks, big ledges, slow rockcrawling... a great place to play.  There is something here for just about any type of "built" rig.

Poteau, OK - Thanksgiving 2004

I managed to get THREE measly pics from Poteau at their "Gobble Day in the Goo" run over Thanksgiving weekend.  This was an awesome run!!  Sponsored by the Poteau Chamber of Commerce, Poteau Days Inn (Vaughn Barnes, owner... a fellow jeeper, former owner of the Black Angus), Wagoner Machine Shop, Ator Offroad, Ryno 4wd, Longview Clutch and Driveshaft, and others, the run staged from the Days Inn.  Over Friday and Saturday, we ran trails all over Cavanaugh Hill... about 50 rigs were running by Saturday, most with 44" or taller tires.  It had rained most of early part of the week, and again Friday night, so the clay and boulder trails were plenty gooey!!!  Air CJ provided some of his specialty smoked pork after Friday's run and a raffle and catered BBQ dinner were held Saturday night, where the mayor of Poteau took the stage to thank all of us jeepers for patronizing their town and businesses.  Way cool!!  It sounds like this might become an annual event... stay tuned!!
